Menu Planning Wednesday

Wait. What? Wednesday?!?

Yes. I’m moving my menu planning to Wednesday. When I first jumped on the menu planning train I was following a site that suggested Monday. And obviously there’s the whole “M” connection, so off I went. BUT my local grocery store’s sales start on Wednesday and run for a week, and I get the flyer that advertises the sales on Tuesday, so planning a menu that starts on Wednesday makes sense. Even if my mild OCD wants to go by the traditional calendar. It was hard enough starting my menu on Monday instead of Sunday. Ha.

Here is last week’s pizza. We had a couple of Andrew’s cousins over and it was Kaeden’s birthday. The cousins are pretty picky about food and just wanted cheese and maybe pepperoni. So we did half and half pizzas. That was a valued lesson. The pizza bakes faster the less toppings it has. So the cheese and pepperoni side got slightly overdone while the other side was perfect. I cooked two anyway. I just didn’t want anybody to have to wait for that first piece. LOL But Next time I’ll definitely just cook them separate. It’s worth the wait!

Homemade Pizza

Now on to this week’s …

Menu Plan Monday on Wednesday…

Wednesday: I have to run some errands and pay some bills in the big city, so we’re dining out.

Thursday: Catfish with green beans, fried potatoes and maybe hush puppies

Friday: Pizza – I was only going to do this once a month, but it’s easier than I realized. And the main cost is toppings which I’ve found we enjoy it with minimal as well as more of a “supreme” version, so we’re going to entertain the idea of having it weekly and see what happens.

Saturday: Loose Meat Sandwiches loosely following this recipe https://www.theslowroasteditalian.com/2014/04/maid-rite-copycat-loose-meat-sandwiches-recipe.html

Sunday: Spaghetti

Monday: Meatloaf

Tuesday: Easy Enchiladas
